Our Training Method: LIMA Dog Training

At Pup School, we follow the LIMA approach, which stands for Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive. This means we prioritize the most effective, humane, and ethical training methods while minimizing stress and discomfort for your dog.

What Is LIMA?

LIMA is a science-based training approach that focuses on using the least invasive techniques necessary to achieve reliable results. We start with positive reinforcement, rewarding good behavior to encourage learning. If an unwanted behavior issue persists, we carefully assess the situation and adjust our training methods to find the most effective and fair solution.

Why LIMA is the Best Training Method?

✅ Backed by Science – LIMA is based on behavioral science and proven learning theories.

✅ Builds Trust & Confidence – It strengthens the bond between you and your dog by using clear, effective communication.

✅ Minimizes Stress & Fear – Harsh corrections and unnecessary force can create fear and confusion. LIMA ensures training remains as stress-free as possible while still being effective.

✅ Effective for All Dogs – Whether you have a young puppy, a reactive dog, or a future service dog, this approach tailors training to each dog’s individual needs.
